Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum
The horrors of the Holocaust and the destruction of 6 million Jews by the Nazis during WWII are respectfully displayed in this memorial museum. A walk through the museum makes real the tragic realities suffered by Europe’s Jewish community during the years 1939 through 1945.
As you enter you find yourself actually walking through
a recreation of the Krakow Ghetto where Jews were kept as prisoners in their own homes. You see young men and woman at work at sewing machines and witness their gaunt faces and hopeless eyes.
Passing through the many displays various multimedia presentations bring to life the horrors of the Shoah,
the Holocaust. Especially sad is the memorial to the
2.5 million children that were slaughtered with each name presented in a vast expanse.
Let us pray that nothing like this ever happens again to God’s people.
