Have the Holy-Land in Your Home

“You created north and south. Mount Tabor and Mount Hermon praise your name.”
Psalms 89:12

Holyland Christian Maps were created for Christians who wish to experience and spiritually “touch” the Holyland in a very realistic way by exploring every small live detail first-hand. The two maps, the Judea-Jerusalem Map and the Galilee Map, physically connect between the historical events, their respective locations on the maps, and their Biblical references.

The maps combine modern-day satellite images with graphics originating with the Medeba mosaic map, the most important and ancient (from the second half of the 6th century A.D.) geo-historical map of the Holyland. The artwork and graphics were created and adapted by the artist Shlomo Kessel. The main advisor for theological aspects is Father Professor Marcel Dubois, who is a very respected person in the Holyland from the theological point of view.

Holyland Christian Maps, created by Atiya Productions, are the result of contemplation, experience and the desire to display the Holyland and the events that shaped its history in a unique and experiential way.

The Atiya Productions satellite maps, courtesy of the U.S. Copyright Office in the Library of Congress©, Washington D.C., are printed on the highest quality paper in the best printing house in Israel. They are suitable for framing and are very useful for religious or historical use in churches, schools and home study applications.

“We have only five loaves of bread and two fish! … he looked up toward heaven, and asked God’s blessing … They all ate as much as they wanted.”
Matthew 14: 17-20

The artwork, crafted by the artist Shlomo Kessel, was adapted from the ancient Medeba Map of the Holyland. The ancient map originates in the city of Medeba, situated in modern-day Western Jordan, and was created by Greek monks who used different icons to represent churches, cities and other sites in a huge 400 ft. mosaic. The mosaic is only partially preserved.

Bonus Map: The Jehovah near Bet-El

One of the most intriguing parts of the Jerusalem map landscape is in the area of Bet-El, where the hills form the Hebrew word Jehovah (marked by a red rectangle on the map). See the images to the right. This marks the spot where Abraham first called God by the name Jehovah.

“Unto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of the LORD.””
Genesis 13:4
